The TENET Innovation to Commercialization (I2C) pitch competition welcomes applications from all Cumming School of Medicine research institutes. This “Dragon’s Den” style competition that will award up to $100K to a team to transition medical research into product development in the province of Alberta. Short-listed teams will be invited to participate in an entrepreneur training program with Innovate Calgary. Upon successful completion of the training program the teams will be given the opportunity to pitch at the final event on April 11, 2017.
We invite McCaig Institute faculty, trainees, and staff to submit applications to email@example.com by October 7, 2016, subject line "TENET I2C application."
Candidates wishing to apply to the TENET I2C competition require the following qualifications:
· Minimum of an undergraduate degree (preferably in a medical related science, engineering or business)
· A commercially viable project related to the medical field
· The principal applicant is affiliated to one of the CSM research institutes as faculty member, trainee, or staff. Faculty require an appointment at the University of Calgary.
· Project to be carried out in the province of Alberta
