The McCaig Institute is comprised of a dynamic team that ensures the Institute remains  efficient and vibrant in meeting its goals to improve bone and joint health in Alberta.

Terri May, MSc., Manager, Business and Operations

Terri manages business opportunities and partnerships with the McCaig Institute. She supports the Institute in attaining its vision by helping to develop and implement strategic plans, managing stakeholder relations and fund development, overseeing operations and developing and executing knowledge translation strategies for the Institute.

Anna Urbanska, MSc., Administrative Assistant

Anna is in charge of the administrative side of the McCaig Institute. Anna received her MSc. in the area of cell biology from the University of Calgary and is very excited to be a part of the research community at the McCaig Institute.

Elisa Park Kim, M.A., Project Manager

Elisa heads various projects around the Institute and promotes clinical partnerships with researchers.  Current projects include the TENET I2C Competition and the Career Booster series.

Jessica Tink,  Manager, Business and Operations (maternity leave coverage)

Jessica brings significant expertise in program management, administration and finance to the McCaig Institute.  She has a soft spot for animals, loves the mountains and spends as much time as she can in Windermere, BC.    She will be filling-in for Terri May while she is on maternity leave. 



Nancy Whelan, Communications and Events Coordinator

With more than 25 years of experience, Nancy works with students, staff and faculty to spread the word about the cutting-edge research taking place at the McCaig Institute.

Janelle Wakaruk, Director of Development

Through the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Medicine, Janelle leads the McCaig Institute’s fundraising strategy and supports the Institute in their fundraising initiatives; a critical role to allow the McCaig Institute to continue to produce high quality, life-changing research.
